Who this is

This website is run by T & D Ford Fish and Chips, a family-run fish and chip shop at Unit 2, Ballycummin Village, Limerick, V94 DCF8, Ireland. This policy covers this website only: it doesn't cover anything about in-shop CCTV, till systems or staff records.

We don't collect much

This site has no accounts, no login, no online ordering and no payment processing; every order is placed by phone. There's no contact form, so no personal details are typed into this site and sent anywhere. The only thing this site asks you for is whether you're OK with analytics cookies (see below).

Cookies and local storage

This site uses your browser's local storage (not a tracking cookie) for one small, non-identifying preference:

• Cookie consent choice: whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don't ask again every visit.

This isn't shared with anyone or used to identify you. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

If you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, this site loads Google Analytics (GA4) to show us aggregate information like which pages are visited and roughly how many people visit. It does not load until you accept, and it never loads at all if you decline or ignore the banner. Google Analytics may set its own cookies and process your IP address as part of this; see Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles that data. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain, which resets the choice.

Google Maps

The "Find Us" page and the homepage embed a Google Maps view of our location so you can see and get directions to the shop. Loading that map is a request to Google's servers and, like any embedded map, may disclose your IP address to Google. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Facebook and Instagram posts

The Reviews page can show a post from our Facebook page and a reel from our Instagram account. These are not loaded when the page opens. They only load if you tap "Show Facebook post" or "Show Instagram reel", at which point your browser connects to Meta's servers and Meta may set cookies and process your IP address. Hosting and fonts

This site is hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google). Loading any page means your browser makes a request to Google's hosting infrastructure, which is normal for any website. Page text is set in the Lora and Montserrat typefaces, loaded from Google Fonts; loading a page requests those font files from Google's servers.

Data retention

We don't hold a database of visitor information from this site. Any data Google Analytics or Google Fonts/Maps process is retained and governed under Google's own policies, not ours, since we don't receive or store that data ourselves.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or ask about data concerning you. Since this site doesn't collect or store personal data itself, most requests will really be about Google's analytics data; you can also manage that directly through your Google account or browser settings. If you believe your data protection rights haven't been respected, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission.

Changes to this policy

If what this site does changes (for example if online ordering or a contact form is added in future), this page will be updated to reflect it.
